First-time setup

Pair the camera and configure over Wi-Fi.

With the firmware flashed and the board wired to your FC, the rest is done from the on-device web interface over Wi-Fi. No app to install.

1. Connect to the config Wi-Fi

Power the board (USB or off the FC). It hosts a Wi-Fi access point for setup:

  • Network: ShutterBridge
  • Password: shutterbridge

Connect to it from a phone or laptop, then open http://10.0.0.1 in a browser. You’ll land on the Camera tab.

2. Pair your camera

On the Camera tab, run the connection wizard:

  1. Camera type - pick your backend: Osmo (Nano), Action / 360 or GoPro.
  2. Scan - the board scans for nearby cameras over Bluetooth. Make sure the camera is on and its Bluetooth is enabled.
  3. Select camera - choose yours from the list. The board saves it and will auto-reconnect on every future boot, so this is a one-time step.

Accept the pairing

The Connection pill at the top shows where you are:

  • connecting - reaching the camera.
  • Accept PIN on camera - a DJI camera is asking you to confirm pairing. Approve the PIN prompt on the camera’s own screen.
  • Camera online - paired and ready.
  • Camera offline - not connected (out of range, off, or not yet paired).

Once the camera is online, its live status (record state, battery, SD, mode) appears on the Camera tab, and the board’s LED goes solid green.

3. Map your controls

Switch to the Channels tab to decide how the camera is triggered:

  • Mode - Record on arm starts/stops recording with your quad’s arm switch, or Manual to drive it entirely from a switch.
  • Record start / stop delay - small delays so you don’t clip the start or end of a shot.
  • Channel mapping - assign an AUX channel and range to actions like shutter, photo/video mode and preset switching.

4. Set up the OSD

The camera status is drawn into Betaflight’s Custom Message OSD slots. Assign a field (record status, battery, mode, SD free, time left, resolution, FPS) to each slot on the OSD tab, make sure to enable and position those elements in Betaflight - see FC Wiring & Betaflight.

5. System options

On the System tab you can set the Wi-Fi name/password, turn Wi-Fi off when armed, choose the Bluetooth TX power, and (GoPro only) sync the camera clock from your FC’s GPS time.

You’re set

Arm on the bench (props off) and confirm the OSD reflects the camera. If anything misbehaves, the Status LED tells you what state the board is in, and Troubleshooting covers the common snags.
